KARTHÄUSER and VERMEULEN in "Le nozze di Figaro" in Granada

The concert performances of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro which were given as part of the 30-year anniversary celebrations of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in 2018 in Seoul, Shanghai, Eisenstadt and Beaune were widely acclaimed by audience and press. Now the production is revived, taking Sophie Karthäuser and Olivia Vermeulen to the Festival de Granada for two performances.

One intriguing novel feature is that the festival has entrusted the entire visuals of the production to the Spanish artist Frederic Amat – starting with the light design inside the Palacio de Carlos V to the design of the costumes.
