DAVID STEFFENS as Oroveso in Bellini’s "Norma" in Stuttgart

For the second time, following 2019, David Steffens is currently appearing in the revival of the celebrated production of Bellini’s Norma which Jossi Wieler and Sergio Morabito directed in 2002; under the baton of Andriy Yurkevych, he appears at his home base, the Stuttgart Opera, in the role of Oroveso. Here, the bass from Bad Reichenhall in Bavaria will also sing the role of Mephistopheles in concert performances of Schumann’s Szenen aus Goethes Faust before the summer break. First up during the coming season will be his house debut at the Berlin State Opera in the role of Ochs auf Lerchenau in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier.
