PATRICIA NOLZ makes her debut in Japan

When the Vienna State Opera visits the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan from 5 October 2025, the young Austrian mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz will be right in the thick of things: she will be making her Japanese debut as Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. The role of Cherubino requires a delicate balance of youthful restlessness, comedic timing and vocal elegance – qualities that Nolz knows how to combine with her warm timbre and natural stage presence.

Her debut in Tokyo is more than just another performance: it is a step towards global visibility. Alongside established colleagues such as Davide Luciano and Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Nolz demonstrates that she has long been one of the defining voices of her home theatre, the Vienna State Opera. For Japanese audiences, this Cherubino will be a special experience: fresh, lively, full of energy – and at the same time imbued with the musical depth that makes Mozart's characters timeless.
