NIKOLA HILLEBRAND sings Konstanze at the Semperoper Dresden

Following her recent success with Strauss's ‘Frühlingsstimmenwalzer’ with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the Vienna Musikverein, Nikola Hillebrand returns to the Semperoper Dresden with the demanding role of Konstanze in Mozart's opera ‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’. Hillebrand has made a name for herself in the last few years with her impressive vocal skills and charismatic stage presence, and she'll no doubt wow the audience with her take on this complex character.

The role of Konstanze is considered one of the most challenging in the opera repertoire, as it demands a wide spectrum both vocally and emotionally. Hillebrand's technical precision, perfect diction and expressiveness make her the ideal choice for this role.

The current production of Mozart's opera at the Semperoper Dresden is a new production by Dutch director Michiel Dijkema from 2017, which portrays the conflict between the Occident and the Orient in an opulent fairy-tale setting. The clash of two cultures becomes a struggle for love, loyalty, power and humanity.
