After another sensational summer on the opera stage with his return to the Bregenz Festival, Mauro Peter now turns his attention to his old friend Tamino in Mozart’s Zauberflöte, a role he has always come back to over the years, going right back to his time as an ensemble member at the Zurich Opera House since 2013.
In recent years, the tenor has achieved impressive milestones with the role, having sung Tamino at the Paris Opera, Salzburg Festival and Semperoper Dresden. This time, Peter joins a cast of other leading singers of their generation on tour with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under their principal guest conductor Tarmo Peltokoski. The tour takes them from the stage of the Bremen Musikfest to the Elbphilharmonie and Konzerthaus Dortmund, before ending up at the International George Enescu Festival at its home in Bucharest.
As the youngest conductor ever signed by Deutsche Grammophon, conductor Tarmo Peltokoski has already made a name for himself with the works of Mozart, having released his debut album featuring three of Mozart’s most revered symphonies, together with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie.
