MARIE-SOPHIE POLLAK | Mendelssohn's "Paulus“ & "Elias“ with AKAMUS

Soprano Marie-Sophie Pollak has a long-standing artistic partnership with both the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the Audi Jugendchorakademie. While she was recently heard with the ensemble from Ingolstadt in Nuremberg and Brixen in Mendelssohn's ‘Elijah’, she was also recently on stage with the ensemble from Berlin, which specialises in historically informed performance practice, in Purcell's King Arthur and Bach's Magnificat in the Berlin Philharmonie.

Together with both ensembles, Marie-Sophie Pollak will now perform Mendelsssohn's oratorios ‘Paulus’ and ‘Elijah’ under the direction of Martin Steidler at this year's European Weeks Festival in Passau and the Audi Summer Concerts in Ingolstadt. Both works will also be performed a week later at the Festival de Lanaudière on the open-air stage of the Amphithéâtre Fernand-Lindsay in Joliette, Canada. It is a welcome return to Canada for Marie-Sophie Pollak, where she has already worked with the Orchestre de Philharmonique de Montréal, the Violons du Roy and the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa in recent years.
