MANUEL WALSER sings Schubert's Schwanengesang in Hohenems

When he appeared at the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg in the autumn of 2015 as a last-minute replacement to sing Schubert’s Winterreise, Manuel Walser immediately won over the enthralled audience with his penetrating expressivity. It is not only the nuanced, modulated voice which convinces, but also Manuel Walser’s natural ease on stage.

Far from striking poses, he approaches the music and its expressivity with concentrated calm, and thus the new programme he presents at the Schubertiade in Hohenems will be as compelling as earlier ones.
