JEREMY OVENDEN new to the Machreich Artists roster

We are delighted to welcome the internationally sought-after tenor Jeremy Ovenden to our roster for general management, starting immediately!

Jeremy Ovenden is considered one of the most accomplished Mozart performers of his generation, having worked on stage and in the recording studio with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Ton Koopman, Marc Minkowski, Fabio Biondi, Philippe Herreweghe, René Jacobs and many other leading artists. As Idomeneo in Mozart’s opera of the same title, one of his signature roles, he has appeared at such leading opera houses such as the Opéra National de Paris, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Berlin State Opera and the Theater an der Wien.

As an artist with a broad concert repertoire, Jeremy Ovenden is also a popular guest of international orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia and many others.

During the coming months, Jeremy Ovenden’s schedule includes a concert version of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s singspiel Zaide K. 344 with the Munich Radio Orchestra under Rinaldo Alessandrini, as well as an appearance in Mozart’s Requiem  K. 626 with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Bernard Labadie. Furthermore, he performs the title role in Mozart’s Idomeneo at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

Jeremy Ovenden’s solo album An Italian Journey, highly acclaimed by the press, contains excerpts from various Italian operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Lucio Silla, Idomeneo, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, La clemenza di Tito) and was released by the label Signum Classics.

In technical terms, and particularly in his outstandingly idiomatic Italian enunciation, Ovenden proves complete master of his chosen repertory... I have only admiration.

We look forward to many joint projects and a productive collaboration!
