On May 7 and 8, she will be heard as a soloist with the MDR Symphony Orchestra in Leipzig, joining Christopher Maltman in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony for soprano, baritone, chorus and orchestra under the baton of Dennis Russell Davies. One week later, on May 14 and 15, she makes her debut at Vienna’s Musikverein, performing Bruckner’s Psalm 150 accompanied by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Finally, this coming June will see her in a staged new production of Schumann’s Szenen aus Goethes Faust on stage at the Flemish Opera in Antwerp.
In between these dates, Eleanor Lyons also appears as a soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium under its chief conductor Benjamin Haemhouts in Antwerp, Mechelen and Rotterdam.
