ADRIAN ERÖD | 60th Anniversary gala of the Bruckner Orchester Linz

It was 13 October 1966 when the Landestheater Orchestra took to the stage of the Kaufmännisches Palais in Linz for the first time as the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. To mark its 60th anniversary, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz is now inviting the public to a magnificent open-air musical celebration against the dreamlike backdrop of the Traunstein: On 11 and 12 July 2026, the Toscanapark in Gmunden will be transformed into a large open-air stage for the anniversary gala, which will celebrate highlights from the past decades of the orchestra’s and opera’s history.

Under the musical direction of Principal Conductor Markus Poschner, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz will present a dazzling ‘best-of’ programme featuring excerpts from acclaimed productions, award-winning performances and symphonic highlights that have shaped the Bruckner Orchestra Linz over the past 60 years.

Internationally renowned singers who once began their careers in Linz and now shine at major opera houses will return as special guests. Among them is Adrian Eröd, who took his first career steps as a permanent ensemble member in Linz, where he attracted attention in roles such as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Marcello in La Bohème and Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande, before his career took him via the Vienna Volksoper to the Vienna State Opera, with which he has been closely associated for more than two decades now, performing a wide variety of roles.

ORF III will broadcast the open-air concert from Toscanapark on 12 July 2026 live, with a delay, at 8.15 pm.
