SABINE DEVIEILHE at Machreich Artists for general management

We are delighted to welcome the French coloratura soprano SABINE DEVIEILHE to the Machreich Artists roster, taking over her general management!

Sabine Devieilhe is no longer a secret tip, but is poised at the brink of a great international career, having delivered acclaimed opera and concert performances – most recently, her impressive debuts at the Opéra de Paris, La Scala in Milan and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Zurich Opera and the Vienna State Opera. After her debut as Marie in Donizetti’s La Fille du Régiment at the Vienna State Opera, the newspaper Die Presse wrote:

“Sabine Devieilhe, one of the outstanding young coloratura sopranos of our times, left her calling card in Vienna. Her versatility is astounding: accurate coloratura passages retain their sonorous sound up to the highest ranges… And the lyrical qualities of the soprano are revealed in the more bel-canto-like passages. Even in the first finale, the voice nestles against the elegiac phrases of the English horn with velvety softness, yet full of radiance…”

For her third solo album, entitled Mirages, Sabine Devieilhe recently won two of the coveted trophies at the “Victoires de la Musique 2018”. The album Mirages is a subtle homage to French opera, recorded together with Les Siècles and François-Xavier Roth. The “Bell Aria” from Léo Delibes’ opera Lakmé, which is too beautiful not to share with you, might have been written with the crystal-clear, secure and enormously flexible voice of the young Frenchwoman in mind.

Highlights of her coming season are Ariadne auf Naxos/Zerbinetta at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, a wonderful programme of Mozart arias at the Salzburg Festival, Die Zauberflöte/Queen of the Night at La Monnaie in Brussels, Hamlet/Ophélie at the Opéra Comique in Paris, Der Rosenkavalier/Sophie at the Zurich Opera and La fille du Régiment/Marie at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.

We look forward enormously to this collaboration!
